I am using Quick Books (Yeah, I'm an accountant so I understand it), but there is one annoyance that I would like to find a way around.

It is far to easy to EXIT the whole program when you really only want to exit a maximized window within Quick Books.  Other programs make you click on the Files memu to shut down the program, disabling the big red X in the upper right hand corner.  I can not begin to tell you how many times I have kicked myself out of the program inadvertantly.  I have hunted all over the web to see if there is a way around this other than being VERY careful when in that territory. Does anyone know a work around or fix.  [Their own help desk can't give me an anser.]

That is a nasty habit to be in - maximizing windows.
The internet satellite repair man was at my house the other day and every program that he opened, he maximized.  Why?  After he left I had to go through and restore all of the windows.
I have had the same problem (accidently exiting a program when I meant to exit only the window) with other programs when the windows in the program were maximized.
One solution is not to maximize the windows in QuickBooks.  I also use QuickBooks and have never accidently exited the program.
I don't know of a way to disable the "big red X" short of reprogramming it which for you is not an option.
