i updated to windows xp from win 98. my speakers stopped working and are hooked up correctly. how do i check to see if i have speaker software installed? where do i get speaker software? the old speaker soft ware [sound blaster] is not compatabile with windows xp. please help.

1) In device manager check under Sound,video and game controllers.
2) In control Panel check in Sounds and Audio devices.

   SoundBlaster is your sound card.  You should look on their website and see if they have drivers for your sound card for WinXP.  My guess is that if you cannot find any, you will need to get a sound card that works in WinXP.
