I was wondering if I can delete updates that were installed one or two years ago.  There are so many and I'm sure that they are obsolete by now because new updates keep coming up.  They all begin with the letter 'K' and continue with a long number.  If anyone know I would appreciate an answer....delete or not to delete.

I wouldn't delete anything in the main Windows folder.
Anything in the Windows temp folder is safe to delete, if it has been there longer than the last time you rebooted your computer.
If space on your hard drive is becoming a problem [more than 60% full], you can delete all but the last system restore point, assuming your computer is running OK.
You can also delete all temporary Internet files each time you close your browser.
Go to Tools\Internet Options, on the advanced tab under security check the box to clear temporary Internet files when browser is closed and it will automatically delete them for you.

Our program, A1Click Ultra PC Cleaner, removes updates that are older than 2 months old.  I haven't heard of it causing any problems.  Just make sure that you don't remove the wrong thing.

Do the following: create a new folder "oldies" on another drive, move all these folders there. If at any time you get a problem move it back. After some time 6-12 months you can sure delete them all.
Thats what I have done for 10 years and mr Gates has not complained once.

If the updates are in a file/folder that begins $NT, try moving them to another location. If you don't experience any difficulties, remove them. I've done this a number of times without any problems.
