Attempting to run PC Optimizer, I get the following error:
"Invalid data type for 'WaitToKillAppTimeout', and the Optimizer goes no further.

RegEdit displays the value as 0x00001388 (5000)

I verified with my calculator that Hex 1388 equals Dec 5000. According to an Internet search, that is a reasonable value.

What should the data type be? Can I fix this with RegEdit so that the PC Optimizer will run?

That should be a String value not a DWORD value.  If you just delete it, it should get replaced with a string and then work.

Thanks Ray. I did delete it, but it didn't get replaced. However, I added it back myself as a string and PC Optimizer works now.

Odd how it became a DWORD. I was not even aware of this entry, so would not have messed with it on my own. I approach the registry with great trepidation, which is why I appreciate your fine program.
