I have a JVC hard disc camcorder and a Sony DVDirect DVD burner. The Sony DVD burner is supposed to act like a DVD burner when connected to the computer. However; when trying to create DVDs from the camcorder files, I must download the camcorder files into the computer and then select them to be copied to the DVD burner. I can only select 10 files at a time, no matter what the size and the DVDirect burns them and then 'finishes' the disc so no more files may be put on that DVD--even though only a third of the disc is being used. My questions are: Is there a way I can combine the files on my computer (the JVC creates a new file each time it is paused when we are recording, so one segment may only be 5 minutes) ? Do I need specific software to do the above? Is there a really good software to be able to edit home movies? This is trying to my good nature!! Thanks for any help anyone may have. |
