on my computer, the cd rom dvd drive quit working.
the drawer will open, and you canput a cd in, but then nothing happens.
we even tried installing another cd rom from another computer, and it doesn't work either.
what can i do          /

Try a different data connection cable.
If the drive will open, obviously the power cable is OK.
Also, try opening the device manager and see if the computer is showing a problem with the drive as indicated by a red x or a yellow exclamation point.
