[b][/b]This is what is on my screen     c:\hp\tmp\src\setup\TrayApp\      It tells me  that I must locate folder or package with   ( TrayApp.msi ) in it.  Also it says ..ERROR 1706.NO valid source could be found for product TrayApp. The Windows installer cannot continue.   I have no idea where to look or what and how it got ther, It won;t even let the pc restart ,I do it manually now its the only way.  Please help me ,Thankyou     ,Kim D.

What were you trying to install when this error showed up?
There is a knowledge base article about this error, but it is somewhat technical.

From what I can tell from the article and your post, this seems to be an update from HP that was poorly programmed. I would check on their support website and see if they have posted a fix.

In the meantime, I would bring up Windows Task manager [ctrl-alt-delete keys] and stop the Windows Installer from running. You may have to navigate to C:\hp\tmp and delete the TrayApp setup program to keep it from trying to run again when you restart the computer.
