in internet explorer I cannot save a web page as the save feature is grayed out. Also most of my right click funtions are no longer working. Anyone who can help would be appreciated. Thanks

   What about Save As...?  Is it grayed out?
   Improper settings in the registry can cause that.

In Internet explorer: cut, copy, paste and save as are all grayed out and there is no save option. In Windows explorer almost all of the right click functions do not work and the search function does not work. In Microsoft Word the cut, copy and paste features on right click are also grayed out. It seems to be mostly tied in with Microsoft software. Thanks for responding

   Cut and Copy are grayed out when nothing is selected.  Cut removes the selected text and copies it into the clipboard (the clipboard is an invisible container for copying and pasting).  Copy copies the selected text to the clipboard.  If nothing is selected, there is nothing to cut or copy and so they are grayed out.
   Try putting your cursor over some text and then dragging across it (drag by holding down on the mouse button and moving the cursor with the button pressed) so that the text is selected (highlighted).  Then right click on the selected part.  Copy should not be grayed out in the popup menu.
   Cut may still be grayed out if the text cannot be removed (as with this text) but if you use cut in a textbox or a Word document where the text can be removed, Cut will not be grayed out.
   Paste is grayed out when nothing is in the clipboard.  Paste will be grayed out until you copy something into the clipboard.
   I have to assume that Save As... is also grayed out because for some reason the page cannot be saved.
