When I try to copy and paste content with emails and or urls in them Word 2003 times out and will not allow the paste. This has never been a problem before.
I also noted that it will let me do it once, but then I have to reboot again to do it again. Any Ideas out there? |

Before going on to other options first try to repair the Office installation. To do that , open a blank word document, go to help menu, and from the drop down menu select DETECT AND REPAIR. It is possible that the repairing ask for the installation CD. . Viqar |

Ken, sorry for the late reply. I was out of country and didn't get the time to look. . One of my friend had a similar problem with OFF 2003, and after many unsuccessfull tries it was observed that the CD we were using was corrupted in some way. After Uninstalling the OFF, and Re-Installing it with a new replaced CD, everything works fine. . Have you tried Un-Installing and re-Installing Office? . If not, first try with the same CD, if the problem persist, try another CD. . Viqar |

Hi Vigar, Thank you for getting back to me .
I am not sure that is the problem, reason is it just started out of the blue? I never had the problem before, used the same program and even the same page for a couple of years now and it just times out and asks if I want to report it, then make a backup copy of the page(s).
It is also doing it when I open a new page and try to copy technical information with urls included it does the same thing. Very frustrating. I don't know if I clicked on something some place in the program that is doing this?
Thanks, Ken |

Hi folks, I just wanted to let you know, that the same as the problem started it stopped. Out of the blue! One day I open the file I was working with expecting to have to type everything in and for the goof I decided to try a copy/paste and it worked. I have not had the problem ever sense? The wonders of Mr. Gates. Thanks everyone that gave me ideas.
