I ran regvac to clean a W/xp Home Ed. pc and after it was finished cleaning the registry, and removing the files, I had second thoughts an selected to restore all the files back.  I did this without restarting...probably a big mistake, because I got a message that said all the files could not be replaced.  When I restarted, it started to load, but then stops and I get a black screen, and can't continue.  This is Version 4.02.12 I think.

I've tried LKGC, Safe Mode and Normal windows start up with no luck.  Please advise!!!
I REALLY NEED HELP!!!!!

RegVac does not remove or restore files.  It removes and restores registry entries.  It does not mess with any entries that would crash Windows, so I have no idea what happened.
I do not know where you received that version because that is an old version and it has not been on our website for a long time.  The current version of RegVac is 4.02.27.  Maybe that contributed to your problems.

What you have to do is make a boot CD (try using our XP Recovery CD Maker or some other one), start your computer with that CD, and restore the registry to a previous registry backup.  WinXP keeps registry backups in its Restore Points (which our XP Recovery CD should find).  Please do not purchase our XP Recovery CD Maker until you have made a boot CD with the trial version because not all computers have the files necessary to make the CD.  If you know where the Restore Points are and how to restore them manually, you may be able to use the trial version to restore.
If you can't restore the registry, you will have to reinstall Windows.
