No problem changing font sizes in Task Bar, Title Bar, emails, etc., but how can I change the font size to larger within a window itself, e.g., any web window, any desktop window, whether content of folder or text within a program window?
Go to Control Panel - Display - Appearance tab. In the Font size drop down box select a larger font. You will probably have to restart Windows before this takes effect. Please be aware that if you change the font size in a program, that it may not display properly. I know that is obvious but I have people complain to me after changing the font size because the font does not fit in the program.
Changing the font size to larger from the Display/Appearance element does not effect the size of the font within the window itself, such as this window in which I am typing. It only effects the fonts on the desktop, task bar and title bars to windows, if not others, too. Is there any way to effect the font size of, e.g., this type you are reading? I'm baffled and at the end of ideas. Appreciate any ideas. JMV
Try start\Help and Support\ Customizing your computer\Fonts and text. This gives directions for changing the font you see on your computer screen, i.e., when you change this you will see the new font, instead of the one you are currently seeing. Hope this is what you were looking for.
