I am running WIN2000 Pro.
When I open my cmd pmt window, the default setting is:
C:\Documents and Settinting\Administrator.Maze1(local computer name)>
Non of the command line funtions work.  I have tried all my old DOS tricks to change the prompt to C:\, but have been unsuccessfull.  I recently did a reinstall of the OS, and figure this were the WINNT resides.  I have thought about installing just the system files again in C:\.  Any ideas?

Did you try CD\ at the prompt? This should move you to the root directory C:

Of course, if none of the command line functions is working, this one won't either.

If the prompt isn't working, you are probably missing the necessary files to run it.
I would run sfc [system file checker] and then chkdsk.
If this didn't correct the problem try using the repair function on the installation disk.
Best of luck
