A friend emailed me a couple of pdf files. I read them both with Adobe Reader (latest version) but when I tried to print them I was asked for a file name, even though the print dialogue correctly showed my printer. I gave it a name, but I have no idea where the file went. I can't find a way of printing files, even some I have previously printed OK. Other applications print OK. I'm using Windows XP Home with SP1 and SP2, fully updated from Microsoft. Any clues, anyone?

OK folks, I fixed it! A little box marked Print to FIle was ticked. All OK now. I hope I haven't wasted anyone's time.
