The subject says it all. I have followed numerous instructions on the web, it is "fixed" for a day or two, and then, when I boot up, the error message is there again - on my desktop.

Is CTFmon.exe needed for the system, or could it be uninstalled, deleted - made to go away?

Where there's a wall, there's a way around it.

If the program ctfmon.exe is NOT in the folder:
c:\Windows\system32
it is likely to be illegitimate, and you need to get it out of there.
