I am looking for free or low cost mp3 wav ripping and burning software.
I am running xp home.  Input on something free or cheap and also easy
to use would be great.
Thanks.

It has been my experience that when something is free it usually comes with a price-The cheap burning software out there is not as good as others-The difference being in how easy or complicated  and how much time you want to spend on it-For mp3 s you can use Windows Media Player -to make backup copies of dvds is another thing altogether-SO; if you think you will want to also burn dvds go ahead and get a program that will work for you-The best I found is 1 Click DVD copy pro or copy 5-somewhere between 39 and 59 dollars-If you buy it they also give you a free burner program thats great for cds called Copy to DVD-it does both-Most cheaper programs require other programs to work-for decrypting and converting-For cds only-media player is free-you will need a burner on your pc-good luck
