Is there a way to lock startup?  Frequently, programs like Quicktime add an entry to the start menu whenever the program is used.  Periodically I go through the start menu to eliminate starts for seldom used programs.  They seem to reappear more frequently than I actually use the programs.  It would be nice to have some software that locks the start menu or at least asks before something is allowed to be added.
