I didn't even know OE had a password!  I haven't used Mailwasher for several years...way back when it was Freeware.  Since I dumped Incredimail, I wanted to use MW again.  Set up and registration went fine, but when I go to check mail, it wants OE's user name and password.  Since I never even knew OE had a password, I don't have the slightest idea what it could be.....have tried every other password I have ever used for other things....they don't work.  Since I am the administrator account, I checked in there too, but didn't see anything about OE password.   Can anyone HELP me find a way to set a new password, or whatever, to get Mailwasher working?  Oh, my server has no ideas want to do about it.

I think what it is requesting is your account username and password so it can access OE.
The program would need this in case there was more than one account on your computer, so it could be sure it was working on your email messages and not some for another account.

That's what I thought too, so entered it.  Wrong password!  There are seven ****** in the password area, but my account password has 5.  It's never been changed since I opened the account.  I wonder if the techs changed it when they installed DSL.  Sometimes I get so fed up with all the silly, but complicated, issues that arise with this machine.  I don't ask much from it.......just that it functions as it should.    I do all the necessary cleanup and protection it needs, and what does it do in return.....drives me nuts. lol  Thanks.

According to the Mail Washer web site, the program requires your email user name and password.
The program connects directly to the server to process your email, you don't even have to open your email program until you want to import the messages you want.
Hope this clears up the problem

Yes, dlwolff0, that's the way I understand it too.  So, it should work with my regular password that has never been changed.  The only thing that changed is that I went to DSL from dial-up, and I think the guy must have changed it when he set up the new connection.  When it cools down, and I feel better, I am going to make a new connection myself, with my password, and see if that works.  Thanks for your input.
