How do I change the default settings when Windows Explorer comes up. I do not use the MyDocuments default setting.

One way around this is to make a shortcut to open Windows Explorer.  You can set up the shortcut to open Windows Explorer wherever you want it to.  Then you would open Windows Explorer using that shortcut.  The 8th issue of Ray's Computer Tips tells how to make such a shortcut under Tech Tip.  You can use this link to go there http://superwin.com/RaysComputerTips/Issue8.htm#tech

Right click on Windows Explorer/Properties and in the Target window change to
" %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /e "  without the quotes.
