Hello Ray, I am new to replying to your site I have a Packard Bell desktop that is approx 8yrs old and has begun to self start @ 1300 gmt EVERY DAY what can I do to rectify this ? I am running Windows XP PIPER_TOM

I assume that you have Hibernated or put your computer in Sleep. Otherwise it should not start. I thought that there were some settings in XP that determine what can start your computer during Hibernation but I have not been able to find it. Maybe a search on the internet would find that. It has to be something coming from your network that is starting it. Just being connected to the internet should not start it.
