I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro running Windows Vista.  I use a mouse connected through a USB port.  Can anyone tell me how to deactivate the touchpad on the keyboard?  I inadvertantly drag my thumb across it and the curser jumps all over the page inserting the words I type into the wrong places.

A New Bible Built with Modern Technology

New Testament - Breakthrough Version

www.breakthroughversion.com

The Breakthrough Version achieves a much higher level of accuracy. It is:

  • more literal
  • more precise
  • more contemporary
  • more correct
  • more consistent

This Bible even translates hundreds of forgotten Greek words that no other Bible does.

It is an essential tool for Bible teachers and students, yet it is easy to read, even for newbies.

Hi,
Check your documentation (online as well) and check with Toshiba and their forums. Many touch pad machines have hot key systems for keyboard and touchpad and you usually can toggle many of these on and off. Or even disable them altogether. One place to look is Control Panel - Mouse - for touchpad settings however there may be
hotkeys that are in effect that are not shown there.

You could try going to the touch pad settings in Control Panel and changing the touchpad sensitivity to a "heavier touch". It worked for a friend of mine but it will solve your problem.
