This seems like an advert but here goes: I use superwin software to keep my registry and disk clean and well ordered. With over 20 years experience with DOS and Windows I have not found anything better. Use the tools available from other parts of this website as directed to keep things clean and running smoothly. My own laptop is running Windows 7 Ultimate on a dual 1.6 GHz CPU with 1GB RAM, and from switch on to logged-in is only 40 seconds!
Thanks Ray!

Hello there,
in the past I also had such complaints and unfortunately there are a lot of items that may contribute, such as spyware or other malware, incorrect virtual memory. too little RAM, insufficient defragmentation but also better organization of too many 'loose' files may help. Assuming that disc- and registry cleaning are OK, attempt to look after the items above and also check the Windows partition by means of executing check disc (chkdsk or chkdsk /f) first.
