I am having the problem in Outlook 2007 (on Windows 7 Home edition) on Firefox (3.5.7) but it was working fine until a couple days ago and then just stopped working. I don't remember changing any settings or downloading any updates.

It pulls up a prompt saying General Failure. The URL: blah blah...". An error occurred when sending the command to the application.

Email links work fine.  the dot dot dot makes me wonder if it is truncating the URL somehow, but when I mouse-over the link it shows the whole URL so I doubt it.

This is often caused by an automatic update to Firefox. Try opening firefox on its own then from the Help menu click "Check for uodates". Allow firefox to download an install the updates and restart. Then go back to outlook and try to acce a link. Let me know hat happens.
