I have a 5002us, Pentium 3, cpmpaq presaro, with an upgraded ramof 576 and a 80GB hard drive.  Sound blaster 16s and other older sound cards work fine, but I tried to put a turtle beach one in and this computer wouldn't even detect it.  However, lthe same card works in an Hp pavilion a450n.  The connectors look the same, my computer ( cpmpaq presaro ) has all the card needs.  Of course, the hp is a Pentium 4 with 2 gigs of ram< but the card says it work on Pentium 3s with less than 576mgs ram. Can anybody tell me why this is?

Have you checked the IRQs to see if the one it wants is free?
