My Dell Latitude D600 computer began starting up and then cutting off.  I have used my two issued batteries to no avail. When removing the battery, it will not initialize at all even with adapter power cord.  This has been suggested to me as probably the charger.  If not then the motherboard itself.  Any suggestions??  Could it be the reserve battery?

   Have you tried a different adapter cord?  Maybe the cord is bad.
