First Time, Hi All
I have MS Windows XP Home and it seems more than ever Explore is not opening webpages or links just get the error message, I have tried turning off Popup Blocker to no avail. I have read on posts that firewalls can be a cause but do not feel like being on the web "naked".
I use Zone Alarm / AVG Free. I use FireFox but it makes no difference. If I go to
Google and try a webpage that Explore has not opened it will come up straight away.
Any help would be appreciated

If you are using Internet Explorer 8 go to tools and Compatibility settings. Try adding one of the web-sites you are having trouble loading in that box that comes up. It may work. Explorer 8 is a bit tricky. If that does not work download Opera. This browser is rock solid. One other thing. If you can get into windows update with Explorer then the problem is with the compatibility of Explorer 8.

Thanks for the reply, I will look at Exp.8 first but will look at OPERA to replace IE. it
gets a lot of positive reports. Thanks again for post.
