I stumbled upon something yesterday that has increased the speed of my computer Dramatically, besides the Tweaking.  I was on the properties of my hard drive and checked the one box "Do you want to compress this drive to save space?"  So I compressed my data drive D, and what a difference it made in the speed of the computer.  Are there any Ramifications in doing this?  So far it has been working great!

A New Bible Built with Modern Technology

New Testament - Breakthrough Version

www.breakthroughversion.com

The Breakthrough Version achieves a much higher level of accuracy. It is:

  • more literal
  • more precise
  • more contemporary
  • more correct
  • more consistent

This Bible even translates hundreds of forgotten Greek words that no other Bible does.

It is an essential tool for Bible teachers and students, yet it is easy to read, even for newbies.

It should actually slow down the speed of your computer a little because not only does your computer have to read and write to the drive but it also has to decompress and compress the data.
The main benefit of compacting the drives is that you get more on the drive.
One disadvantage is that if you ever want to return the drive to an uncompacted state, you may have too much data on the drive to do that.
