I recently connected my PC to my TV, via a 4 pin Svga cable.  After some easy configuration changes I was able to watch everything I was doing on my PC on my TV monitor. But when I tried to play a DVD the dvd screen was solid black. I could see it on my PC monitor but not my TV....   The same was true when I tried to watch WMV files. The movie portion on my TV was solid black..  When I played FLV files I could see thn fine on both PC and TV..  What do I need to do so I can play DVD files and WMV files on my PC and watch them on my TV ??????

I would think that has to do with your video card.  My guess is that you need a better video card, but then that is just a guess.  Maybe someone else knows for sure.
