I had to reinstall the OS and Now I have no sound from the speakers and my dvd riv doesn't work like it's supposed to. The drive it self runs because I can hear it and see the light in the drive bay but the computer won't read the disks. Doesnt matter if it's dvd of cd. As for the sound I had sound before. I could access the mixer controls but now noe of that is there. I followe the instruction for trying to reinstall the mixer but that doesn't work either. If any one has any suggestion I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

Get the sound driver from your computer manufacturer's support web site or the card manufacturer's site if it's an add on.
The dvd drive problem could be one of these two.
