Hi', Ray,

Knowing that you highly recomend RegVac Registry Cleaner and personnaly endorse it
why must I have to run multiple scans over again to get my registry reasonably clean,

when Reg. Mechanic appears to do it in one sweep this is recognised as a highly rated
scanner also.

Regards.

Because RegVac is much more complicated than Registry Mechanic and cleans much more.  RegVac cleans everything Registry Mechanic cleans and more.

Not quite. On my computer Registry Mechanic always finds a few items left behind by RegVac, but never more than very few.

That is possible if you are using the Novice Zone of RegVac.
I think that I also did not include some of the items that Registry Mechanic cleans because either Registry Mechanic mistakenly found those items or cleaning them could be dangerous.
I do not remember if Registry Mechanic removes Shortcuts (I don't think it does), if so, that could be another reason (Shortcuts are not in the registry and so RegVac does not clean them).
