unable to turn on firewall. Try to turn on windows firewall internet connection service and it will not allow me to.

Make sure that the Windows Firewall / ICS service is running. Change it to 'Automatic
If you have recently installed OneCare re-install it.
Certain trojan/malware/virus can change Group policy settings and cause this problem

I would suspect a virus.  Get an antivirus program and run it.

i have been using Avast. Took it out and installed AVG. Detected one Trojan and it removed it. Still cannot run internet connection service.
Suggestions? thanks for the replies
