My "SECURITY" settings seem too restrictive (never thought I'd say this).

Windows has blocked access to these files to help protect your computer <---Error message  in "Windows Security Warning" pop-up.

I'm running XP Pro, Pack 2, fully updated. Replaced free ZoneAlarm with Zonealarm Pro. Recently HAD to make a couple of relatively minor Registry changes using REGEDIT. All checked out OK using Regvac (and several other 'checkers').

Yes, I do get an option to check Why were these files blocked, and how can I open them?

Is there any way I can open files that have been blocked?

If you are certain that you trust this file and want to open it, follow the instructions below.

Save the file onto your computer.
Click Start, click My Computer, and navigate to the file that you saved.
Right-click the file that you saved, and then click Properties.
Click Unblock near the bottom of the dialog box.

Thanks SO much for your time   ---   Brian

I came across the program below but haven't had to use it yet, so I can't vouch for it.
