I thought I would be smart and check "compress old files" in the disk clean up utility. I ended up with a error box saying that " files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions and that Windows must restore the original versions of these files". It then tells me to "insert your__ now"
It actually doesn't tell me what to insert in the blank but I am assuming it is the Windows XP cd. My system came preloaded and I do not have a XP cd.
Everything continues to operate fine (I leave the error box up in the corner) but I am afraid to turn off the computer at night thinking  that when I reboot I will have a problem. Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you tried unchecking the "Compress Old Files" checkbox?
