I seem to  have lost  a folder with subfolders in it. It used to be in My documents but it has disappeared. I can get it with a search function on the start menu, but how can I get it back into My documents? thanks, bill

Find the folder with the search function. Open folder properties (right click) and make sure that the "hidden" box is unchecked.

If Snakeyes' suggestion does not work, find it with Search and check its Location.
The Location is shown in the Search Results or you can right click on it and select Properties from the popup menu.  The Location is on the General tab of the Properties box.
If the Location is not My Documents, write down what the location is, open Explorer (right click on Start and select Explore from the popup menu), find the location you wrote down, and drag it back to My Documents.
