Hi, recently the Date and Time on my computer started reverting to January 2000 1pm.  It will remain on this time and date until manually changed.  There doesnt appear to be any steady time frame before it once again reverts back.  Has anyone experienced this problem please ?  Thanks, Ditz

There is a little battery on the motherboard that allows your computer to remember and keep time when there is no power.  Maybe your battery is dead.

Thanks Ray, I'll check that and renew anyway and see how it goes.

Make sure you record you existing Bios settings. Changing the battery will revert the Mobo to default settings. Make sure that the PC is not only off but disconnected from power and you wear a static strap or ground one hand one the Computer chassis before removing the old battery.
