Currently I'm using Windows XP an a new PC with a Duo Core E6700 Intel and 2 GB Ram. I bought 2 more GB Ram with the intention to use 4 GB Ram, but that doesn't work. Apparently only 3 GB Ram are aloud with XP. I installed only 1GB, but the check-up shows only 2Gb. Is there any change to made in the Bios or elsewhere. Also, what is the difference between a 1GB DDRII 800MHZ  CL= 5-5-5-15 and CL=5-5-5-12?
It seems that my deal was not very useful until I use Vista (which i do not intend to do so far)
Thanks for any enlightenment in this matter

I would think that the problem would be that your motherboard has limits on how much RAM you can have.  Or it could be that the RAM is defective.

Dear Ray,
I checked the Bios and here it says : Memory 3072 MB, which seems to indicate that there are effectively 3GB installed. I have a completly new PC, latest model and motherboard, where you can install up to 8 GB. I also installed the new ones alone and they worked, so they are not defective. It only seems that this program didn't correctly check the memory installed.
Anyway, thanks
