I have been trying to run a "clean boot" start for Windows XP. This has been performed using Microsoft's "Guided Help" procedure which does the job automatically. It has worked perfectly in the past but now it locks up and I get the following error message
An Access Denied error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log on using an administrator account to make the specified changes
This also occurs if I follow a manual procedure. The tick in "Process WIN.INI. file" will not delete.
This is despite the fact that I am logged on with an administrator account.
Any suggestions?

A New Bible Built with Modern Technology

New Testament - Breakthrough Version

The Breakthrough Version achieves a much higher level of accuracy. It is:

  • more literal
  • more precise
  • more contemporary
  • more correct
  • more consistent

This Bible even translates hundreds of forgotten Greek words that no other Bible does.

It is an essential tool for Bible teachers and students, yet it is easy to read, even for newbies.

In Msconfig click on the Win.ini tab and check off each item. The item that does not check-off could be the offending item most probably installed by a legacy program.
