I use to have a program on my desktop, that would change a bitmap into a jpeg or gif. Does anyone have the download for this or address where I can find it ?

   MS Paint that comes with Windows XP and Vista will do that.  Just load the bitmap in Paint and Save it as a JPG or GIF.
