When I click on the icon MY COMPUTER on my desktop to select one of my available drives it takes a good 10 minutes for the computer to find all the drives.  I crashed my computer many months ago and was getting this same error.  To fix it I downloaded the Trial Version of REGVAC.  Since then my trial version has expired and just today I purchased the full version of REGVAC.  But it isn't fixing the problem this time around.  Is there a specific configuration I should be setting the EXPERT MODE?  Or should I be looking towards a different area of my computer to fix this problem?

I don't know why it is taking 10 minutes to find all of the drives.  I am sure that there are many things that could cause that.  I could make some guesses, but they would just be guesses.  Maybe someone else has some suggestions

Look on the control panel for administrative tools. Open it and go to Computer management\storage\disk management.
There you can see the status of each of your drives and find out if there are problems with any of them.
Some sort of problem with at least one drive is probably causing the long search to identify them.

I had a similar problem, and it turned out a USB-connected hard drive was not properly configured. Check under Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager. See if any entries have a notation that they are not working. If you find any, try Uninstall, then Scan for New Devices. If this doesn't work, try unplugging all of your USB devices, the restarting them one by one. If your computer is able to find all your devices, install another one, until you see the problem re-occurring. Check the installation of that device.
