We have two laptops, one with XP and the other with Vista.  I was backing up pictures from my Vista machine using Sonic DVD Plus.  Tried to read with the Vista machine and it saw nothing on the disk.  Tried to format a blank DVD and it kept saying to insert a disk.  Is anyone else out there having problems with Vista?

You probably need a Vista update for the firmware for the DVD writer.
Check the manufacturer's website.
The Sonic program may also require a Vista update.
Most Vista problems run into are getting updates for drivers, firmware and programs.
