Hi, recently I was doing something on my computer and I was referred to Sound and Audio Devices in the Control Panel. Well, that's where my problems begin and why I'm writing now in hopes that someone here can help solve my problems; I mean there are a lot of people on here that know a LOT more about computers than I do, so I've decided to consult the experts here! I'm having three problems but I'll just describe a couple of them here. The other problem is just more of a nuisance than anything but I'll add a message about that one later. The first problem is that I don't have the Sound and Audio devices icon in my Control Panel so I need to know if there's some way to restore that. Secondly, when I right click the Volume icon in the system tray and then try to open the Adjust Audio Properties I get the following error message in a gray box on my screen: RUNDLL32.EXE-Bad Image The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\MMSYS.CPL is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette. I'm using Windows XP Home; please keep in mind that I don't have an installation or recovery disk if and when someone offers a solution to these problems. Thanks in advance for any help anyone might offer! Ron Doolittle |
