When I plug in my jump drive I use to get an icon I could click on to safely remove my jump drive. Now when I plug in my jump drive I get a message thats says I have deleted my jump drive reader. If I did and I could have I don't remember doing so. I can still access the data on my jump drive I just don't get the Icon  I can click on to safely remove it. I am use Windows XP Home. Any help?  Thanks Sammy Frye

I had a similar problem, which Ray helped me to tackle. The icon for SafelyRemove disappeared.  Three methods:
a) Go to MyComputer, and right-click the icon for your jump drive, select eject. The drive can be safely removed.
b) Go to the run option on Start, and type in Systray.exe. The USB and speaker icons appear when I do this. Shut down your USB normally.
c) Edit your Start options in Windows. Add Systray.exe.

If you are Win982e, re-install your USB files from one of the disks that come with USB drives.
