My Grandaughter installed Windows 2000 Pro on the 4 year old HP Pravilion and
promptly forgot both the user name and password. So when signing on all she gets is the Administration and password window and can go no further.
As I cannot delete the win 2000 and cannot pick up the installation cd in  the cd drive what do I do??

Check this page. The author has a CD download that you can use to get into Windows to delete the administrator password, allowing you to boot the system.

Other than this, the only solution I would know would be to format the hard drive and start all over. Hopefully if you have to do that, you have a data backup for any essential files.

Good luck.
