Windows just gave  away 10'000 copies of Vista Beta-I got in on the tail end and at first I thought I was lucky-; but why is it that the word "free" always comes with a catch-?-To install this big 2.5 gb-program you have to burn it to disk then run the compatability test-I flunked!-My system is 6 months old and I have 750 gig hd and 1 gig of ram w/  AMD 64-Athlon-All my drivers are up to date but not Vista ready"-It said I needed to get new drivers for Soundmax' and my imaging devices and Windows has no drivers for my VSO copy software-gee wonder why?-they say to contact the manufacture on that one -Then it goes on to say I have to replace the hard disk controller-ali bus master ide-which is new!-So I bought a new driver update locater installer program and put in the drivers they requested. the  computer  was a mess!-I had to use restore to put it back-I just deleted Vista off my hd-I have it on disk ;where it will stay until they get the bugs out-I see no reason to rebuild a perfectly fine pc just to put the new os in-XP works fine-!
