Half a year ago I bought Speed Startup. Up until now I didn't install it due to time problems. So now I downloaded the newest Version, installed and tested it. And here are my questions or problems:

1. There is no possibility to close the program except the red cross (sorry, I am German and fail to know the correct term in English). This missing possibility reminds me always of "cancel". A minor problem but nonetheless disturbing.

2. Equally disturbing is the method to start the manual processes. You must go by programs/Speed Startup/Run. These are three where one would be sufficient.

3. And it is not possible to start one of the manual processes because if you try you only get the message "program not found, search".
I checked the call and got for example this: "c:\"c:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Install Shield\Updateservice\issch.exe" exe" -start.
I have found no possibility to change this call to use it. For the rest I tried and succeeded. But every time you call Speed Startup again you have to do the same again and again. Perhaps this results out of my German Version of Windows XP.

Here are the answers to your concerns:

1.  Yes, you must click on the X button to close Speed Startup.  I do not know why that would be disturbing.

2.  To start Speed Startup go to Start - All Programs - Speed Startup - Speed Startup.  Do not go to the Run folder in Speed Startup.  That is for starting the Manual Run items in Speed Startup.  Manual Run allows you to remove an item from the startup list and put it in the Run folder instead, so that instead of it running everytime at startup, you can run it when you want to.  Yes, some of them may not run properly (this is because they were not meant to be run manually).  If you do not want some items in Run, do not put them in Manual Run of Speed Startup.

3.  Answered in 2.

If you do not have the latest version of Speed Startup, please get it (the more recent versions have fixed some problems mentioned in number 3 above).

I think there is some misunderstanding. My problem is:
I have some procedures in Speed Startup declared as manually. These are the procedures I use only 3 or 4 times every year. Now, if I need one of these procedures I want to start it manually by start/programs/.....procedure-name. This folder (start/programs/speedstartup/run/procedure-name) is created by Speed Startup every time you start your computer. But if you look at the call stored under start/programs/......the called name, you get these strangely defined programm-calls. An example I have included in the original question. Now why these calls when you can't use them? If they are not meant to be called this way they should not be included. I however corrected all calls but one and have used one of these corrected calls successfully.

The calls in the Run folder are the same calls that were done at startup.

Maybe, but if I choose Start/Programs/Speed Startup/Run and some of the prozesses to be manually started I get the message "search.... ".

Now I have helped myself by storing under Speed Startup the prozesses after modifying the call. So I have no problems to start one of these prozesses.   :) :) :)
