I am running Money 2005 updated by Microsoft UK under Windows XP.
I have a peculiar problem in that sometimes the programme works perfectly and I have even been able to put my portfolio on the internet and access it through My MSN.
However, most times when I start up the programme it starts up off line and clicking the 'go online' button does absolutely nothing. There are no error message, just nothing happens. The only way I can go online is to keep exiting and starting up until, miraculously ,for no apparent reason, Money start up online. While I haven't kept a record I would guess that it starts up online 1 in 5 or 8 times.
There is no startup screen where I have an option to work on or offline and I have not chosen to have a password screen.
I would very much appreciate any help and advise.

I use MS Money for my personal cash records only
but no way would I go online with it,
don't put online what you don't want others to see.

In saying that i would feel more secure using my personal Savings Bank site
and being protected by there proffesional expertise security tools than my own.
