I have on my computer Acer Aspire E300 with Window XP Home SP2 a file called Microsoft NET Framework. What is this ? Has it any use? If not, can I remove it? It takes quite a lot of space. I have a standalone PC and no network.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
With kind regards, Rob Jager

No, don't remove it.  It is a programming language that Windows and other programs use.  If you remove it, Windows will put it back on and you will have problems with some programs.
