When I try to copy and paste content with emails and or urls in them Word 2003 times out and will not allow the paste. This has never been a problem before.

I also noted that it will let me do it once, but then I have to reboot again to do it again. Any Ideas out there?

Before going on to other options first try to repair the Office installation.
To do that , open a blank word document, go to help menu, and from the drop down menu select DETECT AND REPAIR.
It is possible that the repairing ask for the installation CD.

Ken,
sorry for the late reply.  I was out of country and didn't get the time to look.
.
One of my friend had a similar problem with OFF 2003, and after many unsuccessfull tries it was observed that the CD we were using was corrupted in some way. After Uninstalling the OFF, and Re-Installing it with a new replaced CD, everything works fine.
.
Have you tried Un-Installing and re-Installing Office?
.
If not, first try with the same CD, if the problem persist, try another CD.

Hi Vigar,
Thank you for getting back to me .

I am not sure that is the problem, reason is it just started out of the blue? I never had the problem before, used the same program and even the same page for a couple of years now and it just times out and asks if I want to report it, then make a backup copy of the page(s).

It is also doing it when I open a new page and try to copy technical information with urls included it does the same thing.
Very frustrating. I don't know if I clicked on something some place in the program that is doing this?

Thanks, Ken

Hi folks,
I just wanted to let you know, that the same as the problem started it stopped. Out of the blue! One day I open the file I was working with expecting to have to type everything in and for the goof I decided to try a copy/paste and it worked. I have not had the problem ever sense?
The wonders of Mr. Gates.   Thanks everyone that gave me ideas.
